New match fees and court booking fees

At the general committee meeting held on September 15th. a review of fees and level of club subsidies, it was decided that the new fees as listed below would apply. For a number of years the squash section has been running at a deficit, with no increase in fees, and there is a need to close that gap between income and expenditure. Following on from the squash committee meeting held on 30th. September, a number of recommendations were made to assist in the smooth running of the squash section. 1. Club match fees with immediate effect will be £5 per head per match. 2. Effective Monday 2nd. November court booking fees will be £2 for peak times i.e. 5:50 onwards, Monday - Friday, all other times are off peak and will be charged at £1:50. 3. The "mycourts" online booking system has the facility to share the cost of the booking fees. This is purely voluntary but you are encouraged to make use of this facility. 4. With only two courts and heavy demand on court time at this point in the season, please be mindful of the need to cancel your court booking if you are unable to play, no matter how late this may be, it will still give other members an opportunity to play, all be it at very short notice. 5. A reminder that team training is available to all interested players, the bigger the team squads the easier life is for team captains to select and put out a full team each week. It is also important that you make your interest known to the men`s teams captain and ladies team captain. 1st. mens team captain is Gary Murphy 2nd. mens team captain is Lloyd Lewis 3rd. mens team captain is Colin Walkey Ladies team captain is Lucy Emsden Tibor Szolnoki WBC Squash captain
